DARPA Cognitive Research

DARPA has announced a new cognitive research initiative that they hope will result in computational systems that "demonstrate levels of autonomy and reasoning far beyond those of todays systems". They also list as goals the ability to reason, learn, adapt, be self-aware, and have an imagination. The full annoucement is available in PDF format. Nothing to do with the Cognitive Research, but since I can post replies, I thought this will one way to share this information. BBC News has a story in the form of Q&A about Australian researchers being able to teleport a light from a laser from one part to another part of their laboratory.
