Robots as Future Mine Sweepers?

UPI has an article about how robots will someday be able to sweep for shallow water mines.. These robots, which seem to be vaporware as of yet, will both fly and sail the seas as they search for floating and shallow water mines. Although such robots don't exist yet, currently research is being done to test various anti-mine systems, that may one day lead to such robots.
