The Marines have come up with a dune buggy looking robot (remote controlled) that looks like it could easily enter the Robot Wars competition called the Dragon Runner. See pic. The Dragon Runner weighs about 16 pounds and can fit in a Marine's back pack. It is basically a camera on a RC dune buggy so that close combat urban fighters can peek around corners without getting hurt. It has motion sensors and is durable enough to be "thrown" up the stairs or through windows or over walls.
