A new robot competition called ArtBots will be held for the first time this year. The event, a robot talent show, is scheduled for 6pm, Saturday, May 25 at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Robot Talent shows are nothing new, one of the earliest being held by the Dallas Personal Robotics Group in the 1980s and covered by CNN. But ArtBots will be the first standardized robot talent show to be held as an annual open competition. Two prizes are awarded; "Audience Favorite" and "Robots' Favorite", which might better be described as robot builders favorite.
