Our friend Norri Kageki of the GetRobo blog travelled to Houston, TX for the All-Earth Ecobot Challenge, an ecology-themed robot contest sponsored by local education foundations and city governments. Norri acted as translator for well-known Japanese ROBO-ONE participant Naoki Maru, who was a special guest at the event. But Norri also had time to post photos and video as well as write up a nice report on the contest. You can read all the Ecobot Challenge details in the GetRobo blog. In the video above, Naoki's robot, Great King Kizer, uses image recognition to autonomously sorts trash into appropriate recycle bins.
