Posted 1 Aug 2008 at 16:06 UTC by mwaibel Share This

In this episode of Robots we interview Steve Rainwater, creator and editor of robots.net and Mikell Taylor from the IEEE Spectrum Automaton blog. In the first part Steve takes us on a journey through the history of the hobbyist robotics community, the days of BBS, and the early days of robots.net. In the second part Mikell shares her experience with Automaton and robotics media. She also gives us some insight into her job at Bluefin Robotics working on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles. If you want to know a bit more about robots.net, how it all started and where it's headed then check out the podcast!
