The Pittsburgh Tribue reports that the CMU Autonomous Helicoper will be used by the FBI to map the crash site of United flight 93, one of the Jets hijacked by Islamic terrorists in their recent attack on the US. The robot helicopter is capable of making precise aerial maps using a combination of Laser ranging, GPS, flux-gate compass, and other sensors.
