Wilson shares some valuable lessons learnt during his PhD in robotics for defending yourself against the coming rebellion. Wilson also talks about how ideas from science fiction influence research in robotics and vice versa, and he stops to point out how Hollywood's fondness of the evil robot killing machines (think HAL9000, Terminator and The Matrix) shape public perception - and have inspired him to write his book.
