The Comet reports pharmacies at Lister and QEII hospitals have purchased robots to help with drug selection and dispensing. Currently the staff of 120 handles 2,000 different items a day, and is now planning to spend more time on wards ensuring patients learn how the drugs should be used. In addition to improved efficiency, the return on investment is only a few years.
