New Kitakyushu Airport on an artificial island just off Japan's coast is testing Porter Robots to carry bags AND people. The human-toting Porter might be stretching the term robot a bit since the passenger (airport staff in this case) actually control the machine like a motorized wheelchair. The baggage-carrying Porter however, follows a preprogrammed path without direct control.
