Museums With Intelligent Robot Guides

Posted 28 Mar 2006 at 23:51 UTC by steve Share This

Our article last week on Cicerobot of the Agrigento museum in Sicily inspired Nicola Tomatis of BlueBotics, SA to send us this list of other robot museum guides; "Rhino (1997), Minerva (1998), CMU's Mobot Museum Series (1998-2000), and RoboX (2002). Some of these developments have been spun off to companies. The Mobot Museum Series resulted in the Mobot inc.. RoboX has been produced and is now commercialized by BlueBotics, SA." One museum robot not on his list is Zaza built by our own rudybrian. This seems to be a mobile robotics application whose time has come. Anyone know of other museum guide robots? How about museum guide robot kits?
