Subs to Launch Robot Spy Planes!

Lockheed Martin is working with the U.S. Navy on a robot plane that can be launched from subs. The robot plane is launched from a sub's Trident missile tube up to 150 feet underwater, it then floats to the surface, its gull-wings unfurl, then rocket boosters fire to get it airborne. Once in flight, the four ton robotic plane can do aerial reconnaissance or even drop bombs. After the plane's mission, it returns to a predetermined rendezvous on the water where a robotic underwater vehicle fetches the floating drone to keep from giving away the mother sub's stealthy position away.
