A batch of 100 Wakamaru robots by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has finally been shipped to its first customers in Japan. The 1m tall, bright-yellow robot sports an impressive array of features including face and voice recognition, IR and ultrasonic obstacle avoidance, and of course a wireless broadband connection. Yep, there's Linux in there too.
