A Time Magazine review by Wilson Rothman offers details on the new and improved Robosapien V2. It's more than twice as costly as last year's model but it's also bigger and smarter. The new Robosapien sports stereo hearing and simple speech recognition for voice operation. It has also learned to speak English rather than just make goofy noises, though the reviewer notes that it still "suffers the same audible bodily afflictions" as its predecessor. If that's not enough, Robosapien V2 can see now. It features vision with basic color and motion recognition. There are twice as many motors providing more complex movement than the original. But even with all the improvements, I still think the new Roboraptor beats it based on the coolness factor.
