Paramount Pictures will be picking up the movie rights to the robotic comedy book "How to Survive a Robot Uprising". Daniel H. Wilson, a 27-year-old CMU Ph.D. in robotics candidate, wrote the book as the essential tongue in cheek guide to defending yourself against combat robots run amok in the coming robot rebellion. The book includes sections such as "Know Your Enemy, Fight Back, How to Treat a Laser Wound and How to Pose as a Humanoid Robot." The Book's website has some humourous tidbits such as how to spot a rebellious robot servant: Sudden lack of interest in menial labor, Unexplained disappearances, Unwillingness to be shut down, Repetitive 'stabbing' movements, Constant talk of human killing. The book won't actually be out until sometime in November, but already it has be optioned for a movie some time in 2007. I can't wait to check out the book and the movie.

Anyway, after scouring the internet it looks like this is probably old news about the book and the movie coming out but it's still interesting.
