Robonexus: Final report

Posted 10 Oct 2005 at 22:47 UTC by steve Share This

Like most conferences, the last day of Robonexus was slow but there were still a few new robots that turned up during the day. Artist Max Chandler presented a talk about his robot-assisted art. There was also an interesting press release from WowWee and Segway suggesting that we may be seeing robotics toys from WowWee that use Segway balancing technology in the near future. Patrick has some further info on the WowWee-Segway news at his Rossum's Children site. Overall it was a lot of fun and worth the trip. The last of the Robonexus photos are online. Now that I'm back in town, I'll try to post a few of the pending stories that have piled up while I was away.
