Robonexus in San Jose got started with a introduction from Dan Kara of Robotics Trends followed by conference sessions on a wide range of topics. One of the more interesting presentations was by Matt Mason, director of CMU's Robotics Institute. Mason presented video of all the best CMU projects ranging from Dante to Sandstorm. The Robonexus exhibit area won't open until Friday. Firgelli Technologies announced a new line of micro linear actuators targeted at medical robots and other small robots. I've discovered that Robby the Robot will be on hand Saturday. I'll post a report on Friday's session tomorrow along with plenty of photos so you can see what you're missing.
