International AUV Competition Underway

Posted 4 Aug 2005 at 00:11 UTC by steve Share This

The 8th annual Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International AUV competition got underway today. William Cox of the NCSU team writes, "I'm on the first year team from NC State University and I'm going to be blogging and podcasting from the competition all this week, at GoRobotics. The competition is hosting 20 teams from all over the US, along with several international teams. So, anyone in San Diego or surrounding areas should come and out and see what's going on. It's gonna be a lot of fun!". Robots.net favorite, the UTD AUV team, is also competing this year with their new and improved robot. The UTD team did well last year for a first year team. Good luck to UTD, NCSU, and all the other teams this year!
