A number of readers submitted links about Mark Tilden's new Wow Wee robots. Dave Hrynkiw writes, "A little birdy (thanks, Wolfgang) on the BEAM mailing list sent in this tidbit on the CES show being covered by PCMagazine. In short, Mark Tilden of BEAM and Robosapien fame is set to unleash three companions to the Robosapien: Robosapien V2, Robopet, and RoboRaptor. Anybody want to soup up the V2 to take on a RoboONE?". Tilden is quoted in an iafrica.com story as saying, "It really is awesome, people are gonna like the new stuff". The current RoboSapien hasn't been forgotten in all the hype over the new models. It picked up a Digital World Innovation Award at CES to add to it's already lengthy list of awards.
The link to the robopet picture has an extra ')' at the end. Here's a working link.
Thanks, fixed...
Robosapien V2 looks ok. He should do one with a wireless webcam in the head, with the robot controllable from a PC. That way you could have people teleoperating their robots via the internet.
You can already control the Robosapien from a PC, I'm doing it right now:http://www.robotsrule.com/html/robosapien-dance.php
