The article explains some of the uses of wireless robotics - either human control of non-autonomous robots or for inter-robot communication between cooperative autonomous robots. It further breaks cooperative robots in marsupial teams where there is a mother-child relationship and competitive teams such as RoboCup soccer robots. A list of pitfalls that may be encountered when using WiFi for wireless robotics is also provided.
