Teams working towards the next DARPA Grand Challenge now have a place to practice thanks to the US Department of Defense. The DoD's Joint Robotics Program (JRP) is making one of their National Unmanned Systems Experimentation Environment (NUSE2) facilities available to Grand Challenge teams at no cost. The facility is called JOUSTER (Joint Unmanned Systems Test Experimentation and Research) and it is located in Danville, Virginia. For up to three consecutive days, any team can access not just the three multi-level courses (with waypoint data) but also secure storage areas, maintenance areas, classroom facilities, and support staff.
