Bill Cole of the Dallas Personal Robotics Group has created a mailing list called roboticmarket for robot builders to buy, sell, donate, and trade just about anything related to robotics. Most of the big robotics discussion forums like comp.robotics.misc and the SRS or DPRG mailing lists are primarily for technical discussions and discourage commercial buy/sell type posts. On the other hand, while eBay is great for finding some types of robotics items, it doesn't provide a way to trade or easily find a local part.
