VIA Nano-ITX Update

Posted 23 Mar 2004 at 01:02 UTC by steve Share This

VIA Technologies officially announced their EPIA N Nano-ITX motherboard a few days ago. In theory it will ship next month but it's unlikely to be available to retail customers for a few more months due to high demand by OEM customers such as Hoojum Design. For more on the new Nano-ITX, see the recent stories at Info World, PC World, and Linux Devices.

It would have really been nice if they could have gotten it's size down to 9.5cm by 9.5cm. That would have made it easy to use in Mini-Sumo robots. :)

power consumption?, posted 24 Mar 2004 at 14:09 UTC by aplumb » (Journeyer)

What sort of max and typical power consumption numbers are expected with this board, and what have others observed with the older Mini-ITX boards?
