Sony, maker of the AIBO robot dog, will be releasing new software. Of interest is software that can signal you when you have received email (like an aibo xbiff utillity or the dreaded AOL "you've got mail" message), as well as software that can perform text to speech and read your emails and some web pages (cool a talking dog!). These new softwares runs on a PC and connects to the AIBO via a wireless LAN conection. Other new stuff from Sony includes additional colors of AIBOs and party dancing tricks software for the $1500 pooch. You can check out other software and goodies for the Aibo here.
