CSIRO Mantis UAV

Posted 17 Jan 2004 at 23:15 UTC by steve Share This

The Mantis UAV got a brief mention on e4engineering.com recently. The Mantis is a result of research done by the CSIRO Autonomous Helicopter Project. At only 1.5 meters long and 50 cm high, the UAV is quite small. It includes an IMU, GPS, stereo vision and other sensors. For more information and a video clip of the Mantis in action see the CSIRO press release from last month. More photos can be seen in a recent CSIRO Innovation article on the Mantis.
