Robot Group Started for Iranian Students

A recent payvand.com article offers a short summary of a new Robotics group started by the Iranian Science and Arts Foundation for High School students in Iran. Several schools have already received enough components for two school robots. They are also looking for donations of books or other materials. For further evidence of increasing robotics activity in Iran, just look at the increasing number of Iranian members joining robots.net.

I think Iran is still on the USA black list for exporting things to. So I think it would put a crimp on USA companies sending anything to them at this time.

Its cool to see other countries like iran to get involved with robotics,I just wish the area of the U.S. were I live would to.

Why not get one started yourself? Someone always has to be the starter, then others join in later. You don't have to be the leader per se, you get it started and let everyone elect the club leaders, et cetera.
